GluStitch® is a cyanoacrylate-based tissue adhesive formulated for bandage closure. Indicated for simple skin lacerations with little or no tissue loss, it works in conjunction with steri-strips or leukostrips, helping to keep the area closed when there is not significant skin loss. Each sterile sachet contains 0.2 ml of medical-grade cyanoacrylate, with a fast-drying formulation that dries to a smooth, flexible finish, conforming to tissue contours. Its user-friendly delivery system is approved by Health Canada. However, it is important not to use it on contaminated wounds, animal bites, puncture or crush wounds, or irregular wounds that are difficult to approximate, and it should not be applied near the eyes.
